Even when the holidays are over, the seasonal festivities continue in Chelan with our annual Winterfest celebration, January 12th - 21st. Experience the beauty of winter at the lake and small-town traditions you'll only find here. For almost 30 years, this has been the best winter celebration in the state. Check out the old favorites and new activities added this year!

For the Local Drink Lovers

Wine walk. Alefest. Bubble Bar. And, the Battle of the Bloody Mary! There is no shortage of local drinks to taste and take home.

Start your first weekend off with a wine walk through the historic main street of Chelan, sampling while you browse boutiques and enjoy live music.

At this year's Bubble Bar, get unlimited sparkling wine tastes with a catered brunch while learning about bubbly production in the Chelan Valley.

If beer or cider is your drink of choice, check out downtown Manson's Alefest during the second weekend of Winterfest. More than 40  unique craft beers and ciders from local breweries will be served (and note the fun names like Moose Drool Brown Ale and Nottersense IPA!)

Spend Sunday morning sipping different Blood Mary concoctions and vote for your favorite.

Once you've found your drinks, visit The Bottle Shop to purchase bottles of wine, beer and cider sampled at these events. Located in the Chamber Office in Chelan on Jan 12 - 14 and next to Alefest in Manson on Jan  19 - 21.

For the Foodies

The annual Soupfest is set for January 12, when dozens of restaurants gather for a little friendly competition to see whose soup will win the best of the year. Be sure to come hungry so you can taste and vote!

For the Ice Obsessed

Get your fix at these chilly events. In downtown Chelan, watch artists turn 45,000 pounds of ice into dazzling ice sculpture creations, topped off with an ice tower lighting ceremony and live music. Truly a highlight of the whole festival!

For some fresh air and exercise, try Snowga - snow shoeing and yoga. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on this guided trek with stops along the way for yoga poses in the snow.

If you're feeling really brave, take an icey plunge into Lake Chelan at the Polar Bear Splash, cheered on by spectators and a high school drum line! Then warm up by a bonfire and watch the night sky light up with fireworks.

For the Whole Family

Traveling with little ones? There is plenty for them to do, too. Horse carriage rides, lantern lighting, fireworks, an ice slide, and Snowflake Lane will enchant both kids and kids at heart.
