Three Must-Visit Restaurants in Chelan Washington

One of the many reasons to visit, or even move to Chelan Washington is the exciting, ever-growing restaurant scene. With so many enticing options it can be hard to decide where to go!
Here at The Lookout, you can trust that we have the expertise on which restaurants should be at the top of your list. Here are just three restaurants in Chelan Washington that we love.

1. The Fox & Quail Café

Located in an old house that was converted into a restaurant, The Fox & Quail Café has a recently remodeled interior after it was taken in by new management a few years ago. The restaurant provides a cozy setting with a laid-back atmosphere. The friendly, excellent customer service helps contribute to that inviting vibe. The interior décor is incredibly picturesque, with comfy window bench seats and pillows, as well as adorable fox accents. For the warmer months, outdoor deck seating is available.
An ideal place for lunch or dinner, the creative, innovative menu helps set The Fox & Quail Café apart to provide something new and unique! It’s always fun to try something different and, of course, it helps that everything is so scrumptious.
There’s a lot of variety on the menu, from Prawn Po’ Boys to Truffle Mac and Cheese, so there should be something for everyone to enjoy. Vegetarian-friendly options can be found on the menu as well.
If you’re not sure what to try, we’d recommend the Ahi Tuna Sushi Tower. And for families visiting Chelan, there’s a kids menu that includes classics like grilled cheese and PB&J for even the pickiest eaters.
The Fox & Quail Café is famous for its delicious, hand-crafted specialty cocktails. It also serves up seasonal and rotating options, so there will be something special no matter what time of year you stay at The Lookout.
We love the refreshing and tasty Cleanse Martini, which is made of Pearl Cucumber Vodka, elderflower liquor, aloe vera water, agave, and lime juice. In addition to cocktails, there is also plenty of wine and beer to choose from.
When you go there for the first time, just look for the painted red picket fence; you can’t miss it. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday. For the full hours, location, and to look at a menu, visit the website.
18 Brix is part of Karma Vineyards, located on a 70-acre estate on the South Shore. The restaurant gets its name from the Brix scale, which is the system used to measure the sugar content of grapes. And champagne, the vineyard’s signature, is harvested at low Brix levels. Karma Vineyard is the first Methode Champenoise producer in Lake Chelan and still one of the few producers in the state of Washington.
If you visit during the warmer months, dine outside and sit on the beautifully landscaped patio where you can take in the vineyard’s gorgeous scenery. The patio also features a koi pond. This is a favorite for children who love to feed the fish. Unlike some wineries, children are always welcome here.
There are still special seating options during the colder months as well. You can sit by the cozy, warm fireplace or take the opportunity to dine in the underground wine cave. The chic wine cave provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience and has become a location for parties and weddings as well.
The delicious menu features plenty of fresh ingredients for some of the best quality food you will find in Chelan. Start out with some shareable appetizers, such as Potstickers or the Chef’s Cheese Selection.
For drinks, we recommend the Karma Sparkling Sampler Flight, which offers three generous tastes of the vineyard’s delectable champagne and comes with the Karma bread nibbler. Additionally, there is of course, a wide selection of wine, as well as cider, brandy, beer, and non-alcoholic choices.
The atmosphere at 18 Brix is overall very lovely and elegant, yet accessible and welcoming, with friendly service. The restaurant and the winery are open 11am-5pm on Thursday through Saturday, and 11am-3pm on Sunday. Those hours may seem limited but trust us, it’s worth it!

3. Andante

Among the restaurants in Chelan Washington, Andante is one of the absolute best for its atmosphere, great food, and exceptional service. The restaurant is especially great to dine at if you are in Chelan for the holidays as they really go above and beyond with their beautiful décor.
A favorite restaurant in Chelan for birthday dinners and romantic date nights alike, Andante is the perfect place if you are looking for fine Italian dining. The delicious Italian cuisine includes classics like Chicken Marsala and Penne Primavera. They also have twists on classics such as the Andante’s Lasagna, as their homemade marinara is on the spicier side for an extra kick.
Other popular options include Fire Pasta with Chicken for those who love spicy food and Tuscan Seafood Stew and Baby Prawn and Prosciutto Pasta for fans of seafood.
For a drink with your meal, choose a cocktail or pick from a selection of some of the finest wines made throughout the world.
Finish your meal by trying one of the delectable desserts. You can also order cakes from Andante for special occasions. Find out more about the options and prices of Andante’s cakes on its website or by contacting the restaurant.
Unlike some other restaurants in Chelan Washington, Andante is only open during dinner hours, from 5pm-10pm, though it is open daily.
Done eating? Then you might be ready for an after-dinner drink. We have recommendations for that too!
Whether you only have the chance to visit one or are able to dine at all three, we’re confident you’ll love these restaurants as much as we do.
And these are just three of our favorite dining options. You can find even more favorite restaurants in Chelan Washington, and the area as a whole, just by asking. We want to make sure you experience all that Chelan has to offer, no matter how long your stay!
