Crushing on Fall in Chelan

blog image The calendar may say summer is over, but in Chelan the coming months can hardly be called an "off" season. With leaves in brilliant colors, crisp air and sunlight on the lake, fall is both beautiful and full of seasonal delights.

Harvest season leads into Fall Crush, when wineries in the Chelan Valley open to the public to see wine-making in action. From picking to crushing to pressing to tasting, you can go behind the scenes during two weekends, October 7 & 8 and 14 & 15.

Watch and Learn

Watch grapes go through the press, sample grape varieties, taste raw juice, and get a sneak peek (and maybe a taste) of future bottles. Get tips, tours, and even sommelier training from the growers and winemakers themselves.

Wine and Dine

Share the experience of harvest season with old and new friends over perfectly paired local food and wine. Harvest parties and winemaker dinners are a chance to see what makes the Chelan Valley so special.

Stay and Play

Our own version of Crush activities includes lots of fall treats: Friday s'mores with apple slices, carmel, candy corn and cider; local wines, cheeses and charcuterie at Saturday night poolside happy hour; and coffee and pastries on Sunday mornings.

Fall is also a perfect time to catch a ferry ride to Stehekin. Check out the spectacular colors of the shore and peacefulness of the lake. Read more about Stehekin.

Whether you are looking to invest in waterfront property on Lake Chelan or find a vacation rental, the Lookout at Lake Chelan is a place your family can enjoy for years to come.
